I can get started with so many titles. My most recent favs would be Monster by Kore-Eda Hirokazu. (coming of age, Drama, Thriller)
Being a film student currently, I was mostly intrigued by the editing. This film shows the same story three times each through a different characters perspective. The truth finally unravels at the end. Its a very touching story with many emotional roller coaster rides so be warned. By the end, I was amazed at the creative way editing was used to evoke emotion throughout the film.
I leave it to you to watch and decide which emotions they are.
